The happy butterfly

A young boy, running through the fields, chasing the happy butterfly.
The boy is crying, tears blinding his vision.
"Mommy... Where are you? Where have you gone?"
The boy fall, scrapping his knees. He cries harder.
Through tear-filled eyes, he spot the butterfly, patiently waiting for him a bit ahead.
So he stands back up, arm stretched out towards the flying beauty.
"Mommy..."
He walks towards it, but it flies off again, leading the boy away.
Suddenly everything is cold.
The boy can't breath.
He struggles, but is trapped in the sudden darkness that is slowly engulfing him.
"Mommy..."

A mother calls the name of her son.
She's running through the fields, looking for her precious child.
She can't find him though.
The boy is gone.
The worry engulfs her heart.
She's tired and the night is beginning.
Beautiful stars dot the black velvet sky.
She wish upon a falling star.
"Please, let my son return home safe and soundly."
All she sees is a happy butterfly.

A young boy is lying in the fields.
His body is cold and wet.
You see, the young boy was lead in a trap, by a demon in disguise.
The young boy will not return home, for he is no longer alive.
The darkness has consumed him, and he is no longer who he once was.
He is together, with the happy butterfly.
